Sonoma Foster Care

Most foster/adopt marketing materials immediately dive into the daunting need to “save a child.” This approach is overwhelming. When asking a person to consider a life changing decision, the messages and images need to evoke a personal connection. In the materials, we tiered the levels of involvement so people could find their comfort levels. This…

Redwood Empire Food Bank

This is one of the oldest pieces I’m still featuring in my portfolio.  I just can’t get rid of it because it was my introduction into the uber-dedicated non-profit world of Sonoma County. I worked directly with David Goodman who had just gotten alarming statistics about our local hunger problem.  He wanted an emotive brochure that would show…

The First 1000 Days

New science has shown that early brain development sets into motion everything we consider social problems, and that a baby’s care in the first 1000 days has real impacts for their lifetime. Sonoma County Animal Services

Studio B’s challenge on this project was to help rebrand Animal CONTROL into Animal SERVICES. Sonoma County needed to make sure pet owners knew how to act responsibly with pets, but wanted to change their reputation from enforcer to partner. I worked with the amazing photographer, Erik Castro, to capture these emotive images.   Our…

Move 92

This client spent 20 years in Asia getting small amounts of money directly into the hands of grassroots organizations. Their way of working and way of funding was unique, but their model was so successful in bringing real change to communities, they wanted to see if this way of funding would in other parts of…
