The California Veterans Association initially reached out to Studio B to create a newsletter design. However, the deeper I got into this project and read their stories of connections, the more inspired I became to create something unique.  

During our first presentation, I presented the newsletter designs as they requested.  They were very happy with the results.  Then I told them I had one more thing to show them.   Instead of a newsletter, I presented a box.  The box itself was tied with rice twine and had the Vietnamese word “PEACE” stamped onto it.  As you opened the box, you felt as though you’d been given a gift. Inside were reveal panels that you removed one by one which slowly and intimately told the story of their impact in Vietnam after the war.  My clients cried and chose this direction.  


Creating and assembling each one was a labor of love that brought us all closer together.
