Affordable housing —those words have loaded connotations. An affordable place to live — those words are relatable to everyone. This is how our conversation started years ago when Generation Housing came to us with their challenge.  How do we reframe this conversation to get more people to support housing?

We started by creating a series of posters that featured teachers, paramedics, caregivers, fitness instructors etc – people in our community that we can all relate to and who are struggling to stay here due to housing costs.  Over the years, we’ve used these images as “hero images” to keep the recognition of the source of the campaign while creating beautiful graphics to embellish the brand.

We’ve designed data reports that were easy and enjoyable to look at.  We’ve created promotional campaigns to encourage our elected officials to “do the right thing.” And we’re working with GEN H now to find new ways to encourage positive support for more housing.  I am honored to work with this group of very smart and dedicated community activists.
